The Hawkeyes arrive in The Valley on Monday, just in time to avoid Iowa's latest winter weather


The University of Iowa football team left the Eastern Iowa Airport for Phoenix and The Valley on Monday in preparation for the Tuesday, December 28Th Insight Bowl game with the Missouri Tigers. The Hawkeyes are slight underdogs heading into a classic Big Ten-Big 12 match up.

Iowa (7-5, 4-4 Big Ten) vs. Missouri (10-2, 6-2 Big 12 North)

Over 100 years ago, the Iowa-Missouri football series ended after 12 games. The story was "Iowa stopped playing the Tigers because of racial threats against its 1st black player."

It should be an interesting Game 13 in the series in the 2010 Insight Bowl.
