Iowa Hawkeyes host 'Throwback Game" vs. Ball State to wrap up OOC play in September

#17 Iowa (2-1) will return to Kinnick Stadium on Saturday, after the disappointing 27-34 loss in Tucson vs. #16 Arizona (3-0). The Hawkeyes will host Ball State (1-2), wearing the 1958 style uniform when the face the MAC opponent in Week 4.

The Hawkeyes will honor the "Evy" era on Saturday.

Iowa has some special teams to work on, after a poor performance in Tucson yielding a KOR for a TD and a block punt. Injuries mounted with the loss of three performers, two running backs and a reserve MLB for this week's game. Iowa will likely pull a redshirt off one or two running backs, due to depth at the position. Sophomore # 32 Adam Robinson will be the #1 at the position for now for the Hawkeyes.

Fans will likely see true freshman #34 Marcus Coker make his debut in the Ball State game today, while true freshmen #31 Anthony Hitchens and #30 De'Andre Johnson may make it on the field for the first time, as well.

Iowa needs to step up play heading into Big Ten Conference play in Week 5, with a Homecoming Game, on October 2Nd in prime time vs. #21 Penn State (3-0).
