TGIF: Two more college games on tap for Friday and Prep Football in Eastern Iowa

The #4 Iowa Hawkeyes (2-0) will travel to Tucson to face #21 Arizona (2-0) on Saturday night on ESPN, with a 9:30 pm Central Time kick off. The Hawkeyes beat the Wildcats 27-17 in Iowa City in '09. The game was not as close as the score would indicate. Arizona junior QB Nick Foles became the starter, after the loss to Iowa in '09. It should be a good game between two Top 25 opponents.

Friday, September 17th

  • Kansas at Southern Miss
    7:00 p.m.
    ESPN (HD)

  • California at Nevada
    9:00 p.m.
    ESPN2 (HD)

Who knows if Kansas (1-1) and coach Turner Gill can keep it going, after the solid 28-25 home win in Week 2 over Georgia Tech. Southern Miss (1-1) opened the season @ South Carolina, so they have played a pretty good team already. Another BCS-non-BCS game has California (2-0) @ Nevada (2-0). Good opportunity for the MAC to pick up another win against a BCS program.
