The Iowa Hawkeyes wrap up non-conference play hosting coach Dan Enos and Central Michigan in the final tune up, before heading into 2012 Big Ten Conference play. The game will kick-off at 11 a.m. on the Big Ten Network.
Iowa's passing attack has not scored a touchdown in '12. Iowa has moved their fullback to #1 running back, due to injuries at the position.
How will this Week 4 game play out for Iowa?
Could this be a trap game? In '09, Iowa struggled in the fourth OOC game beating Arkansas State only 24-21.
The past two seasons saw Iowa beat Ball State 45-0 and ULM 45-17.
Our prediction is Iowa 38, Central Michigan 21 in Week 4 at Kinnick Stadium.
Iowa is a young team, especially on offense. Senior quarterback James Vandenberg is playing up and down. Success in the passing game would be healthy heading into Big Ten play next week.
Business first, is Iowa taking care of the Chippewas. Iowa are 2-0 and won 38-0 in last meeting in 1998.
Iowa fans will have all eyes on #45 RB/FB Mark Weisman, who scored 3 TDs last week vs. UNI and ran for 113 yards.
Further, leading tackler #31 Anthony Hitchens needs to improve on his filling the hole, gap and pursuit. He leads team and conference in tackles, but there continues to be room for improvement.
How will Iowa's pass rush be vs. Central Michigan O-Line and QB Ryan Radcliff? Iowa only has three sacks this year and this is an area Iowa needs to improve in.
Game On!
