“Football is the major source of revenue for the Department of Athletics, and
the success of the program is critical to the overall financial health of
the Department. Therefore, the university wishes to have improved football
facilities that are comparable to its peer institutions,” the regent agenda
stated.
The costs of Division I athletics continue to move upward, including recruiting costs. It's important that the University of Iowa keeps up with its fellow Big Ten schools? Yes!
